The sequelae of lumbar transverse process fracture are mainly chronic lumbar pain. Lumbar transverse process fracture is caused by trauma, and the lateral transverse process of the vertebral body is pulled by the muscle. The transverse process of the lumbar vertebrae is the attachment point of the lumbar muscles, especially the psoas major muscle, which plays a major role in the bending activities, so the bending activities and turning activities are obviously affected after the fracture. Therefore, absolute bed rest is needed in the early stage, and then activity after adhesion of the surrounding tissues will not easily lead to chronic back pain. Theoretically, the recovery will not affect normal life, but if the patient is not able to take absolute bed rest, it will easily cause chronic muscle strain in the future, resulting in discomfort of back pain, poor tolerance of the lumbar muscles, and easy fatigue.
