Principles of treatment for hemorrhoid disease

The current treatment of hemorrhoids has the following views: 1. The so-called hemorrhoids, the anatomical name for the “anal cushion”; is a normal anatomical structure, is one of the important structures involved in the function of anal closure. In this sense, everyone has hemorrhoids. 2, when the anal cushion is pathologically altered, the formation of “hemorrhoids”, that is, the proverbial “hemorrhoids”. 3, no symptoms of hemorrhoids do not need treatment, just pay attention to diet to keep the bowels open, keep the perineum clean and prevent complications. It is only when there are complications such as bleeding, prolapse, thrombosis and impaction that treatment is needed. Hemorrhoids are rarely directly fatal, but can be fatal if they are not treated properly and produce serious complications. Therefore, the treatment of hemorrhoids should be careful and should not be taken lightly. 4.The purpose of various non-surgical treatments for internal hemorrhoids are aimed at promoting fibrosis of the tissue around the hemorrhoids and fixing the prolapsed rectal mucosa in the muscular layer of the rectal wall to fix the flaccid anal cushion so as to stop bleeding and prevent prolapse. 5.Surgery is considered only when conservative therapy fails or when the supporting connective tissue around stage III or IV internal hemorrhoids is extensively destroyed . According to the above, the treatment of internal hemorrhoids should focus on reducing or eliminating their main symptoms rather than radical surgery (i.e., not removing all of the diseased anal cushion). Therefore, the relief of the symptoms of the hemorrhoid is more relevant than the change in size of the hemorrhoid and is considered as a criterion for the effectiveness of treatment.
