Lenvatinib Lenvatinib

Formulation and specifications: Capsules: 4mg, 10mg
Indications: Patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma who have not received prior systemic systemic therapy.
Key points for rational drug use:
1. The most common adverse reactions during dosing include hypertension, fatigue, diarrhea, decreased appetite, weight loss, arthralgia/myalgia, abdominal pain, palmar-plantar erythema syndrome, proteinuria, bleeding events, dysphonia, hypothyroidism, nausea, and serious adverse reactions including hepatic failure, cerebral hemorrhage, and respiratory failure.
2. Unlike thyroid cancer and renal cancer, the pharmacokinetics of lenvatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma are clinically significantly affected by body weight: for patients weighing <60 kg, the recommended daily dose is 8 mg once daily; for patients weighing >60 kg, the recommended daily dose is 12 mg once daily.
Lenvatinib should be taken at regular times of the day, either on an empty stomach or with food. If a patient misses a dose and is unable to take it within 12 hours, there is no need to make up the dose and the next dose should be taken at the regular dosing time.
