How to remove anal polyps

The main methods of treatment for anal polyps are currently medication, and surgery. For anal polyps that are closer to the anus and smaller in size and do not affect normal bowel movements, they can be treated by conservative treatment methods. The anal area is often cleaned with potassium permanganate lotion or saline in order to speed up the blood circulation around the anus and make the polyps shrink naturally, while applying hemorrhoid cream for treatment. If the polyp is large and has affected normal bowel movements, it needs to be treated by surgical removal. The anal opening is enlarged by means of an anal dilator, and the polyp is finally removed by ligating the root of the polyp as well as cutting off the blood supply. Special attention should be paid to the oral anti-inflammatory medication after the suturing to prevent infection at the wound.
