How long does it take for a fractured brow bone to heal

Brow bone fractures refer to fractures above the orbit and the time to healing is directly related to the type of fracture, the type of treatment, as well as the age and physical condition of the patient. In the case of the mildest brow fractures, i.e., linear fractures without dislocation, the healing time is usually about 4-6 weeks, with healing time not exceeding 6 weeks. Slightly older patients may reach about 6 weeks. In contrast, a young adult with a brow bone fracture without malalignment will generally heal in about four weeks. In patients with a chronic disease, such as diabetes, the healing time for a fractured brow bone may be relatively longer, and a diabetic patient with a fractured brow bone without a misalignment will generally heal in about 6 weeks or 7 weeks. If the fracture is dislocated, if the fracture is relatively severe, if the fracture requires surgery, or if the patient has a chronic diabetic disease, the healing time may be longer than 6 weeks. However, if the deformity heals without effective treatment, the healing time may be longer than 7 weeks.
