Frozen shoulder is the abbreviation for periarthritis of the shoulder joint. Frozen shoulder is a common condition characterized by shoulder pain and motor dysfunction. It is a common disease characterized by shoulder pain and motor dysfunction. It occurs in people with a history of shoulder sprains and contusions, chronic shoulder injuries, or those who suffer from wind and cold in the shoulder. The patient’s shoulder joint is stiff and difficult to move, as if it is frozen together, so it is also called “shoulder condensation” or “frozen shoulder”. In the early stage of frozen shoulder, the pain is mainly in the shoulder, especially at night or in winter; the pain is severe at rest, the shoulder is inflexible, there is a feeling of stiffness, local cold, then the pain gradually affects the neck and upper limbs, the shoulder activity is limited, even the shoulder shrugs up (shoulder carrying phenomenon), it is difficult to lift the arm, and it cannot be abducted, and it is impossible to do such actions as combing the hair, undressing, forking the waist; it is also difficult to empty the pockets of clothes and pants, and some people even dare not move at all. Some people are even afraid to move around. At the beginning of the disease, the shoulder muscles are often tense, and in the later stages, there is atrophy. In the later stage, the shoulder is restricted in various activities, and the muscle atrophy is obvious, but the pain is not obvious. Some patients have a tendency to heal themselves through their own activities and exercises, but most of them can recover only through effective treatment. The main treatment measures are: 1, Western medicine treatment: you can take anti-inflammatory pain, vitamin B1 or other drugs with anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. At present, there are no special effective drugs. 2.Chinese herbal medicine treatment: Early treatment with Chinese herbal medicine to dredge the meridians and activate blood circulation and relieve pain, together with acupuncture, massage and functional exercise, can have good effect. 3.Acupuncture treatment: Take the acupuncture points such as shoulder Nei Ling, shoulder bone Yu, shoulder Zhen, Yu and Tian Zong, and perform the tonic method or the flat tonic and flat diarrhea method once a day, or take the acupuncture point of Jiao Kou and perform the diarrhea method, together with Tian Zong and shoulder Zhen acupuncture points and perform the tonic method, together with hot compress, fire cupping or warm acupuncture, the effect is good. 4.Massage treatment: Use your thumb or middle finger to press and rub the acupuncture points of shoulder Nei Ling, shoulder bone Yu, Tian Zong and shoulder Zhen for two minutes each; use kneading, rubbing and shaking techniques to treat with shoulder joint activity method. Patients with frozen shoulder should pay attention to the following points: 1. Keep the shoulder warm and do not get cold. 2, often appropriate exercise, can do soft gymnastics, taijiquan, eight duanjin, etc., not only to make local blood circulation, but also to strengthen the function of the shoulder joint capsule and the soft tissue around the joint, so as to prevent or reduce the aggravation of frozen shoulder. 3, after the occurrence of frozen shoulder, the most important thing is to carry out early active and passive shoulder joint functional exercises, such as bending and hanging arm swing, rotation, climbing wall, climbing wall sideways, pulling pulley, etc. 4. Insist on exercising with pain. No matter active or passive activities, the patient will feel pain and the shoulder function will not recover quickly, but it can be cured if you persist. If the shoulder joint does not move for a long time because of fear of pain, the shoulder muscles, especially the deltoid muscle, will atrophy, which is detrimental to the recovery of the normal function of the shoulder joint. 5.Patients with frozen shoulder caused by a fracture should wait until the fracture is completely healed before performing the appropriate amount of manual therapy. 6.Patients with high blood pressure and heart disease should not exert any force and should be cautious.
