How delayed insulin secretion can be normalized

Delayed insulin secretion should be improved with relevant examinations to clarify the diagnosis, which can be improved by medication, dietary control and proper exercise. Delayed insulin secretion is common in patients with type 2 diabetes. In normal people, blood glucose starts to rise after eating, and insulin will start to be secreted accordingly to achieve the purpose of controlling blood glucose; however, patients with impaired glucose tolerance may have insulin secretion peaks 1~2 hours or even longer after meals, which is manifested as delayed postprandial insulin secretion. After clear diagnosis, diet control, appropriate exercise, and medication under doctor’s guidance, such as gliclazide, acarbose, etc. should be used. In the case of delayed insulin secretion, it is recommended to go to the hospital.
