In what cases will surgery be performed?

It is mostly seen in those who are ineffective or deteriorated by non-surgical treatment, or those who have complications such as gallbladder perforation, diffuse peritonitis, complications of acute suppurative cholecystitis and acute necrotizing pancreatitis.
Gallbladder stones in children or asymptomatic adult gallbladder stones are usually not treated with prophylactic cholecystectomy and can be observed and followed up.
