In recent years, women’s breast disease has increased significantly, and regular medical checkups have become a priority for many women. However, when women choose health check-ups, they do not know what to choose in the face of various check-ups and new methods in hospitals. Based on clinical experience, the author summarizes the evidence-based first simple, then complex, first non-invasive, then minimally invasive path for health examination. Self-examination The breast is located on the surface of the chest, so it is easier to find when there are abnormalities or lumps. In principle, knowledgeable women over 25 years old should learn and master the correct method of breast self-examination, and women with breast cancer susceptibility factors and over 40 years old should preferably self-examine once regularly. Self-examination of breast can be done in standing, sitting, lying or bathing position, by looking at the shape, color and hardness. If abnormalities are found, further consultation with a breast specialist should be sought. Ultrasound examination is currently recognized as a valuable examination method for breast diseases. It is non-invasive, inexpensive, and can be repeated several times with high accuracy, especially in identifying cystic or solid masses. When ultrasound examination indicates a solid mass with blurred borders with surrounding tissues, it is more likely to be a malignant tumor. Digital mammography With digital mammography, the image resolution is higher and clearer, and two positions are usually used: one is to squeeze the individual breast up and down to take an orthopantomogram, and the other is to squeeze the breast inside and outside to take a lateral view. In terms of age selection, women after 35 years of age tend to choose mammography because of breast tissue relaxation, while for older women with breast calcification, mammography is more advantageous than ultrasound. MR breast examination MR imaging is clear and can be done in three dimensions, but it is more expensive. Because of the high sensitivity of MR, it can easily cause false positives and is generally not recommended for people who are not at a particularly high level. Biopsy Buder’s gun biopsy For patients with high suspicion of breast malignancy, breast biopsy can be performed for the purpose of preoperative diagnosis, with the advantages of preoperative diagnosis, clinical guidance, individualized treatment and optimal prognosis. Minimally invasive examination It is the latest minimally invasive technique. The method is a minimally invasive biopsy of suspected diseased breast tissue that cannot be reached clinically under dynamic ultrasound guidance, with a tiny incision of only 2mm, no sutures, no scars, little trauma and fast recovery, which is widely agreed by the majority of women who love beauty.
