The symptoms of a fracture of the caudal vertebrae in a fall, from pain in the sacrococcygeal area to difficulty in sitting and standing, and a feeling of discomfort in the buttocks, with redness and swelling of the local soft tissue. The patient will also feel restricted movement, pins and needles when walking, and difficulty in sitting, standing, and turning, and the diagnosis can be confirmed by taking a film. Local heat can be applied to relieve the pain to some extent. Anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving drugs can be taken, and local ointments can be applied to relieve the pain. Rest or treatment over a period of 1-2 months can basically restore the normal state.”
