Will the fever go away with the new coronavirus?

Novel coronavirus may resolve on its own after the onset of febrile symptoms. The epidemiology of the novel coronavirus pathogen is not well documented, and because of individual differences, symptoms are not uniform across individuals. The vast majority of infected individuals will present with fever, malaise, and dry cough, but there are also patients with atypical symptoms, some with no obvious fever. Because the virus is self-limiting, some patients with mild symptoms may have a fever that resolves on its own. However, some patients with more severe symptoms may develop respiratory distress. In addition, some elderly people and people with underlying diseases may develop critical symptoms after infection, with rapid progression of the disease and rapid development of acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis and coagulation dysfunction.
