How to tell if it is a new coronavirus

The diagnosis of novel coronavirus infection is divided into suspected cases and confirmed cases. Suspected cases are mainly those with a history of residence in the infected area or having visited the infected area 14 days before the onset of the disease, along with respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough and chest tightness. Chest CT showed pneumonia manifestations, and routine blood results suggested leukocyte or lymphocytopenia. Confirmation of the diagnosis also requires refinement of nucleic acid testing. In addition, since the symptoms of the incubation period after novel coronavirus infection are similar to those of common infection and acute upper respiratory tract infection, if fever symptoms appear, active hospital examination should be performed for clarification.
