4 The importance of rest and medication as prescribed by the doctor after surgery

After outpatient surgery many patients are able to rest and take medication as prescribed so that the wound can heal successfully, but there are still a few patients who do not follow medical advice. Many patients are able to have pain-free wounds within a short period of time after anal surgery, but it often takes up to 3 weeks for the wounds to fully heal after removal of hemorrhoids, especially after the internal hemorrhoids have been ligated and dislodged, which requires continued medication to allow the wounds to heal well. The patient was not taking the hemostatic medication prescribed for the bleeding during the hemorrhoid removal period, and the patient could not use the medication locally as required, and was still using the medication prescribed for the first postoperative week at the end of 2 weeks. In other words, the patient’s daily dose of medication was not enough, and various reasons eventually led to poor wound healing, which other patients should take note of.
