There are no definitive studies that show how long delta virus survives at room temperature. Delta virus can survive on the surface of an object or in the environment and can cause transmission. The lower the temperature, the longer the survival time in the external environment, and conversely the higher the temperature, the correspondingly shorter the survival time. Although the significantly increased transmission capacity of the delta mutant strain may lead to increased disease severity, there is no evidence of increased overall mortality. The mode of transmission has also not changed significantly, with respiratory droplet transmission, contact with contaminants, and aerosol transmission remaining the three main modes of transmission. Therefore, disinfection, cleaning and personal protection need to be done in daily life. Usually, indoor ventilation should be done at home, with doors and windows opened 2-3 times a day for not less than half an hour each time. Wash your hands regularly with running water, with hand sanitizer or soap. Wear a mask when you go out and try not to go to crowded places. If your family has not been vaccinated, you should get vaccinated as soon as possible to be responsible for yourself and those around you.
