What is the success rate of infertility treatments?

The chances of a woman of normal childbearing age conceiving in a month are about one in five, and the World Health Organization defines infertility as a period of one year. The success rate of infertility treatment varies from hospital to hospital. Most of the infertility cases are asymptomatic and are referred to the doctor because of prolonged failure to conceive after marriage. According to statistics, infertility in married couples accounts for 15% of cases, of which the male factor accounts for about 40%. Female patients with infertility have dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, scanty or oligomenorrhea, vaginal inflammatory diseases resulting in increased vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding, or cervix, thickening and tenderness; abnormal distribution of hair; abnormalities of breast and secretion; infertility manifested by delayed endometrial development, uterine dysplasia and malformations; severe malnutrition, body size and body mass index (bodymassindex, BM1) that is weight (kg)/height (cm) abnormalities, etc. At present, the main causes of infertility in couples are uterine factors, ovulation factors, fallopian tube factors, cervical factors, semen quality factors, sexual dysfunction factors.
