What are the common causes of female infertility?

Female infertility is defined as the failure of a married couple to conceive after living together for more than one year without using contraception. According to the statistics, the chance of female infertility accounts for about 15% to 20% of the reproductive age. The common causes of female infertility are as follows: 1. Tumors of reproductive system Cervical polyps and fibroids prevent sperms from entering the uterine cavity; uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps and adenocarcinoma of uterine corpus congest the uterine cavity, preventing sperms and eggs from staying and implanting in the uterus; and ovarian tumors affect follicle development or discharge and lead to infertility. 2.Congenital abnormalities in the development of reproductive organs, such as hymen atresia, congenital absence of vagina, vaginal septum, double vagina, etc., which can often cause difficulties in sexual life; congenital cervical dysplasia can cause difficulties in the upward movement of sperm and infertility; congenital dysplasia of uterus, such as bicornuate uterus, unicornuate uterus, uterine septum, tubal insufficiency, such as tubal lengthening or stenosis, and congenital ovarian dysplasia. 3, immune factors (1) autoimmune: women’s serum in the presence of their own ovarian antigen and zona pellucida autoantibodies, ovarian antigen is mainly ovary-specific antigen, which can produce autoantibodies to the ovary, thus leading to ovulation, causing infertility. Zona pellucida autoantibodies react with the zona pellucida to prevent sperm from penetrating the egg and prevent fertilization. (2) Homozygous immunity: sperm, seminal plasma or fertilized egg are antigenic substances, which are absorbed by vaginal and uterine epithelium, and then produce antibodies through immune reaction, so that sperm and egg can not be combined to form a fertilized egg and can not be implanted. 4. Ovulation disorders caused by endocrine function abnormalities (1) Functional factors Mental illness or excessive stress, underweight or overweight, strenuous exercise. (2) Organic factors Pituitary tumors, premature ovarian failure, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid function abnormalities and adrenal function abnormalities can also cause ovulation disorders. 5.Reproductive system infection Vaginal inflammation, cervicitis, tubal inflammation, tubal tuberculosis, tubal effusion, ovarian inflammation, pelvic inflammatory disease, after abortion can cause secondary infertility. 6.Endometriosis Endometriosis can cause the destruction of ovarian tissue, repeated bleeding absorption caused by the umbilical end of the fallopian tube external adhesions or adhesions around the ovary, so that the mature egg can not be ingested into the fallopian tube and thus lead to infertility. 7.Unknown infertility After the systematic examination of infertility causes, both sides did not find a clear cause of infertility is about 10%.
