Background of Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

Pelvic floor dysfunction disease refers to a group of diseases caused by a variety of etiological factors that lead to the weakness of the pelvic floor support structure, resulting in the position and function of the pelvic floor organs abnormalities, including: pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence; in recent years, the international community attaches great importance to women’s reproductive health, the level of women’s health in all countries has been taken as a measure of the degree of a country’s economic development and civilization of a region as an important indicator. Pelvic floor dysfunction disease is an important element of female reproductive health, is one of the main content of the measurement of women’s health; our government attaches great importance to this, in the Commission on Health and Planning support, the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine to carry out Chinese women’s pelvic floor dysfunction prevention and treatment program, this project lasts for five years, in the introduction of new ideas and advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, and strive to improve the quality of life of women. At present, most hospitals still focus on anatomical diagnosis through clinical symptoms, and do not provide early diagnosis and intervention for people with potential lesions but not obvious clinical symptoms; the incidence of pelvic floor disorders in Chinese women is high, and 45% of married women with children in China have varying degrees of pelvic floor dysfunction; about 1/5 of all mothers have urinary incontinence after giving birth; about 1/4-1/2 of all adult women have urinary incontinence; 1/4 of the elderly over 65 years old and 1/3 of all adult women have urinary incontinence; about 1/3 of the elderly over 65 years old and 1/3 of the elderly over 65 years old and 1/3 of the adult women in China have urinary incontinence. About 1/4-1/2 adult women experience urinary incontinence; 1/4 of the elderly and women over 65 years of age suffer from urinary incontinence to varying degrees. It is reported that only in Beijing, the incidence of female incontinence is as high as 46.5%, and the older the incidence of higher; 78% of women who have had children due to vaginal laxity and dissatisfaction with the couple’s life, known as the middle-aged and elderly women’s “social cancer”.
