Which three symbols determine the fate of breast cancer patients?

ER (estrogen receptor), PR (progesterone receptor) HER-2 (also known as human epidermal growth factor receptor-2) are the three common and common symbols on the pathology report card of breast cancer patients, positive? Are you really paying attention? If ER and PR (i.e. positive result) can be detected in the cancer tissue, endocrine therapy is effective and the patient has a relatively good prognosis although it is breast cancer. A study has reported that ER(I), PR(I) using endocrine therapy, the efficacy is only 9%; ER(+), PR(I) is 32%; ER(I), PR(+) is 53%; ER(+) and PR(+) is 71%, so it is extremely important to pay attention to ER and PR results to judge the efficacy of endocrine therapy, decide the treatment plan or even the whole prognosis of breast cancer. HER2 (also known as human epidermal growth factor receptor-2) is an important prognostic factor for breast cancer. HER2-positive breast cancer is characterized by strong infiltration, more prone to recurrence and metastasis, and shorter disease-free survival. If HER2-positive is identified, targeted drug therapy should be administered as early as possible, and the earlier the treatment, the greater the benefit. Studies have concluded that the survival time of HER2-positive breast cancer patients is only half of that of HER2-negative patients if they receive only conventional treatment, but conversely, if HER-2 status is determined early and targeted therapy is applied early, HER2-positive patients have a chance of survival close to that of HER2-negative patients.
