Will the fracture shift after two weeks?

The fracture is still prone to displacement after two weeks because the fracture is not fully stabilized within two weeks because the hematoma is still in its mechanization phase and there is usually no bone scab formation. If the fracture is not fixed with strong internal fixation or external fixation with splints or casts, the fracture end will be easily displaced. Especially if the fracture is active without external fixation, it is more likely to re-displace and cause localized fluid accumulation or swelling, pain, and limited movement. However, in the case of infants and children under one year of age, because of their rapid growth rate, it is possible that two weeks after the fracture, the fracture line may be blurred or the bone may be scabbed, and in this case no displacement will occur.
