If there are no other obvious abnormalities apart from dry flaky skin, or if it is accompanied by skin symptoms such as itching, oedema and low skin temperature, the patient can be seen in dermatology; if the patient is accompanied by dull expression, hoarseness, pallor, facial and eyelid oedema, the patient should be seen in endocrinology; if there are manifestations such as dry eye and reduced night vision, the patient can first be seen in ophthalmology.
