Dry skin on the breasts is not necessarily a disease, as dry skin and rough underwear can cause dry skin on the breasts. Once environmental and behavioural factors have been ruled out, dry breasts can be considered to be caused by eczema and the diagnosis can be confirmed by a dermatologist who can observe the typical symptoms. If treatment is not effective, the presence of a breast problem should be identified.
