In recent years, the hospital has increased the construction of the pain department and cultivated a group of experienced pain medicine talents through study abroad, acquisition of advanced treatment equipment and introduction of new technologies. Dr. Yao Ming, the leader of the department, is the leader of the department in Jiaxing City, the vice president of the hospital and the director of the pain department, the chief physician, professor, and the postgraduate tutor of Wenzhou Medical College. He is also the national youth member of the Chinese Pain Society, deputy director of the Provincial Pain Society, deputy director of the Pain Committee of the Provincial Society of Integrative Medicine, editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery, Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology and Chinese Journal of Pain Medicine. There are 5 doctors with senior titles in the department, who went to Tel Aviv University Medical Center, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Nanjing Gulou Hospital and Shenzhen Nanshan Hospital for further training and study respectively. The Department of Pain Medicine has carried out a number of new technologies, such as hypnotic analgesia, painless catheter and painless catheterization, sacral injection for pediatric enuresis, etc., in line with clinical needs. In recent years, he has published more than 20 academic papers such as “Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation of Dorsal Root Ganglion for Intractable Somatic Neuralgia” in Chinese journals. The analgesic effect of intravenous anesthetics on visceral pain and its mechanism, the treatment of cancerous abdominal pain by CT-guided double-needle rendezvous method of abdominal plexus block, the treatment of intractable neuralgia after herpes zoster by double-pump combination, and more than 10 scientific research achievements have won provincial, departmental and municipal scientific and technological progress awards. The Department of Pain Medicine now has an outpatient clinic and a ward, and special treatment rooms are set up respectively. It is equipped with various pain treatment equipments such as (mono- and bipolar) radiofrequency analgesia treatment instrument, ultra-laser pain treatment instrument, ozone treatment instrument and pulse oximeter. We carry out a variety of non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments, such as sacral canal, brachial plexus, cervical plexus, lumbar major interosseous groove, stellate ganglion, epidural and other nerve blocks for chronic pain, abdominal plexus or trigeminal nerve modulation for intractable pain, ozone or small needle knife for soft tissue pain, radiofrequency modulation for neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, which have relieved the pain of many patients suffering from pain and are welcomed by the majority of patients.
