How to treat lobar pneumonia in children

Lobar pneumonia in children is mainly due to a decrease in body resistance and infection by Streptococcus pneumoniae, which causes an inflammatory response in the lungs. Treatment mainly includes symptomatic treatment and etiological treatment. For cough and sputum, orange red phlegm cough liquid, lantern leaf granules, pediatric lung-clearing and phlegm-transforming granules, carboxymethylstilbestrol oral liquid, and aminobromine syrup can be taken. For fever, take Pediatric Chai Gui Fever Reducing Oral Liquid. When the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃ or more, ibuprofen, acetaminophen or diclofenac sodium can be used. Etiological treatment is also administered, and anti-streptococcus pneumoniae can be treated with penicillin, cefotaxime sodium, ceftriaxone sodium, etc. For infections with drug-resistant strains, pediatric patients can be treated with vancomycin, administered as an intravenous drip for a course of usually 14 days, or discontinued 3 days after the fever subsides, or switched from intravenous to oral administration and maintained for about 5-7 days.
