Children with biliary atresia have abnormal liver function and use hormones for a long time. Live attenuated vaccines may cause long-term reproduction of vaccine bacteria in the body and endanger the child’s health, so they cannot be vaccinated, including BCG, polio vaccine and MMR vaccine. Children with biliary atresia can be selectively vaccinated with inactivated vaccines (pertussis) and subcomponent vaccines (hepatitis B, encephalitis B, influenza, diphtheria, tetanus vaccine) if their liver function returns to normal after surgery and they have a good diet. Those with serious organic diseases, such as serious liver, lung and kidney diseases, need to suspend vaccination.
