A body temperature of 36.6°C is normal. The body temperature of healthy people is relatively constant, but the normal value of body temperature varies slightly depending on the test site. In general, there is a part of the body that is specifically responsible for managing the regulation of body temperature, called the thermoregulatory center, which regulates the body’s heat production and dissipation process through nerves and body fluids, so that the body temperature fluctuates within the normal range and remains constant. Commonly used body temperatures include oral temperature, rectal temperature and axillary temperature. The normal value of oral temperature is 36.3℃-37.2℃; the normal value of rectal temperature is 36.5℃-37.7℃; the normal value of axillary temperature is 36.0℃-37.0℃. Therefore, no matter which part of the body temperature measurement is taken, 36.6℃ is a normal body temperature. When patients feel abnormal body temperature, they should promptly conduct temperature testing to clarify the degree of fever. If the temperature is high and persists, they can promptly visit the hospital fever clinic for symptomatic treatment.
