Precautions during brace treatment and when to stop using the brace?

  The brace should be worn for at least 23 hours a day, with one hour reserved for bathing, gymnastics and other activities. Brace therapy needs to be adhered to for a long time, if there is no contraindication, brace use should be until the bone growth and development is mature.  So when to stop the brace treatment: 1.No growth in height within 4 months.  2.Risser’s sign grade 4-5, 4 hours after removal of the brace, no change in cobb and shape. The brace can be worn for 2 hours per day.  3.After 4 months, if there is no change in the review, it will be reduced to 16 hours. If there is still no change in the review, it will be changed to 12 hours, and then after 3 months, 24 hours after removing the brace, the full-length frontal and lateral radiographs of the spine will be taken, and there is still no change in the Cobb angle, then the brace will be stopped.
