Tumorigenesis A tumor is made up of a single tumor cell. People usually think that there is one or several tumor cells first, and then the chicken lays eggs and the egg lays chickens, generating a large number of offspring, which together constitute a large tumor mass. In fact, it is not true. To be more precise, the environment suitable for the survival of tumor cells, i.e. the altered environment in human body, which is called cancerous constitution in Chinese medicine, is the reason for the mutation of normal cells to become tumor cells. The formation of cancerous constitution is related to environmental pollution, radiation, unclean food and long-term mental stimulation. Once cancerous body is formed, it is like a desert in nature, which is difficult to be treated. Let’s call it a desert physique. Tumor Development In summary, we say that tumor cells occur in desiccated physique. In this way, tumor cells are advanced, because they are like animals in nature, when the surrounding environment changes, they mutate to adapt. But it is also sad because it occurs in the desiccated body, which is itself malignant and deadly, so is it the tumor cells that kill us? Or is it the desiccated body that is killing us? It remains to be investigated. Tumor cells only carry this name temporarily. Tumor treatment Tumors must be treated with a combination of Chinese and Western medicine. I often give patients an example: what do you do when a bunch of ants or some kind of bugs are born next to your home water pipe? There are two ways, one is to take insecticide to kill it directly, and the other is to sprinkle some desiccant, so that the environment is changed and it can’t survive anymore and move away by itself. Western medicine’s surgery, radiotherapy interventions, etc. are all insecticide methods that directly target tumors and tumor cells to kill them. Chinese medicine is the second type, based on the theory of balance of yin and yang, the five elements, etc., to change the changed internal environment of human body to achieve the purpose of treating the deserted body. However, just like the treatment of desert, this process is long and arduous, if we are not careful, we will lose all our efforts and even be swallowed by the desert and fail completely, but we should not lose confidence.
