How long does it usually take to cure polycystic ovaries?

Polycystic ovaries are usually found in adolescent and fertile women, often manifesting as symptoms of excessive androgens and persistent anovulation, with women experiencing irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, infertility, hirsutism, obesity, acanthosis nigricans, etc. This is a metabolic disease that is difficult to cure. It can improve after 3 to 6 months of medication or treatment by surgical methods. If the patient develops hirsutism and obesity, it can be treated by physical exercise and anti-androgen medication as appropriate. In case of menstrual disorders and anovulation, sex hormone test is needed. If the hormone level is not normal, hormone regulation can be given periodically, usually oral estrogen drugs are given on the 5th day of menstruation for 21 days, and progesterone drugs are added at 10 days after taking the drugs, and the drugs are stopped at the same time at 21 days. If there is no menstruation after stopping the medication, the next course of treatment will be given at 7 days after stopping the medication. Generally, after three courses of treatment, the endometrium will undergo cyclic changes and the ovaries will ovulate; if the effect is not obvious after treatment, the treatment can be consolidated for another three courses. If this is not possible, surgery may be an option. With the improvement of living standard and the increase of mental life pressure, some women now suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome, which is a metabolic disease, difficult to cure and requires long-term treatment and management.
