How much does ovarian cyst surgery cost?

If a woman’s ultrasound reveals a cyst on her ovary, and the cyst is larger than five centimeters, then she needs to consider surgery to remove the cyst, and the cost will vary due to different surgical methods and differences in the level of the surgical hospital. If a woman has her adnexal cyst removed by open surgery in a public secondary hospital, the cost is usually cheaper, usually around 4,000 to 5,000, because the hospital grade is lower and the surgery is open, so the cost is cheaper. If a woman has her ovarian cysts removed by laparoscopic surgery in a tertiary care hospital, the cost is usually around 8,000 to 10,000, because tertiary care hospitals are more expensive and use laparoscopy to perform the surgery, so the cost is significantly more expensive. However, the advantage of laparoscopic surgery is that the incision is relatively small and the recovery is relatively fast, usually about three days after the surgery, and the body basically recovers a week after the surgery. Because the impact on a woman’s body is not particularly great, it is often the preferred surgical procedure, and for women with health insurance, the appropriate percentage of reimbursement is available. Therefore, if conditions allow, it is recommended to consider laparoscopic removal of ovarian cysts as much as possible.
