Novel coronaviruses are a group of viruses in the coronaviridae family that were first identified in a patient with pneumonia in December 2019. There is human-to-human transmission of novel coronaviruses, mainly by droplet contact and possibly fecal-oral transmission, and the current source of infection is people infected with novel coronaviruses. Most people are infectious only after the onset of the disease, while some others are infectious during the incubation period. Currently, there is no vaccine and no effective drug for the new coronavirus, so the most effective prevention and treatment method is to go out less, wash hands more often, and wear a mask in crowded places.
