The prevalence of reproductive tract infections among women in China ranges from 35-85%, with chronic cervicitis ranking first at 35.09%. Chronic cervicitis can be complicated by pelvic inflammatory disease, adverse pregnancy outcomes and cervical carcinoma, but the current rate of access to care for rural women is low. Therefore, if cervicitis is treated at the same time during women’s disease screening, the undesirable progress of cervicitis can be stopped in time. High-energy focused ultrasound therapy instrument has good penetration and localization, which effectively treats lesions in the dermis “from the inside out” and ensures the integrity of epidermal cells, and extends the treatment time period: any time except for menstruation and the 2 days before and after, thus ensuring timely treatment for women in screening. This reduces the prevalence of cervical cancer. Since 2006, 2105 cases of chronic cervicitis patients in the census have been treated with the Focused Ultrasound Therapy Instrument (Haijixing), with 1200 cases followed up and a follow-up rate of 57%. 1200 cases have been followed up: I. Treatment method: CZF type ultrasound therapy instrument produced by Chongqing Hifu Technology Co. The treatment sleeve head is centered on the cervical orifice and scanned clockwise from inside to outside at a speed of 5-10mm/s in a circular motion, generally exceeding the lesion edge by 2mm until the erosion surface is congested and edematous, with a cumulative treatment time of 1s-3s for mild erosion, 2s-6s for moderate, and 5s-9s for severe erosion. The follow-up after treatment was 3 months. II. Treatment results The data of this group showed that the total effective rate of focused ultrasound treatment was 98.33%, and the cure rate was 45%-34.17%. The results of focused ultrasound treatment of chronic cervicitis with different degrees of erosion and different pathological types showed that there was no significant difference in the total effective rate, while the cure rate was significantly related to the degree of erosion and pathological types: the cure rates of mild, moderate and severe were 47.92%, 35.42%, 4.17%, respectively; simple type 4.17%; the cure rates of simple, granular and papillary types were 59.30%, 44% and 0%, respectively. It is suggested that the more severe the degree of erosion, the lower the cure rate. The patients had no pain during the operation, no local crusting of the cervix, no smoke, only congestion and edema, after the treatment, the patients had different degrees of vaginal fluid discharge, which lasted from 3 to 20 days, and a few patients had different degrees of vaginal bleeding 1-3 weeks after the treatment, which were treated symptomatically. Fourth, the census of this group of data found 7018 cases of chronic cervicitis and 2105 cases were treated, with a cure rate of 30%, which is higher than the reported attendance rate of 19.4%, reflecting the feasibility and superiority of the application of focused ultrasound in the census. It can be seen that the healing rate is related to the degree of erosion, and the smaller the area of erosion and the lighter the pathological typing, the higher the healing rate. Therefore, early detection and timely treatment of chronic cervicitis during women’s screening is of great significance. Revealing that focused ultrasound can improve the treatment rate of chronic cervicitis in the screening and universal treatment of rural women, thus reducing the prevalence of cervical cancer, three papers have been written and published in China. With the continuous improvement of the technology on this topic, this method will be promoted and applied in a wider area and is clinically worth promoting.
