Brain tumor, also known as intracranial tumor, can have the following nine symptoms in early stage. 1. morning headache, headache often occurs at 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning, often waking up in the middle of sleep, so it is called morning headache. 2. jet vomiting, compared with vomiting of gastrointestinal diseases, there is no stomach distension, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, vomiting has nothing to do with eating, but suddenly appears after a headache. 3. vision Impairment, after the increase of cranial pressure caused by brain tumor, the ocular venous return is obstructed, which can damage the visual cells on the retina in the fundus of the eye, and the vision is reduced. In some cases, the patient may have an incomplete range of visual field defects.4. Monocular protrusion, i.e., one eye protrudes forward, leading to incomplete eyelid closure in severe cases.5. Phantom smell, which occurs because the temporal lobe located in the lower part of the brain is stimulated by the tumor. Patients often smell odors that do not exist, such as the smell of burning rubber, cooking rice, and aroma. 6. Transient loss of recognition, patients with temporal lobe tumor may also have a sense of strangeness and déjà vu, which can occur for several minutes. 7. Hyposensitivity, patients with parietal lobe tumor located in the middle of the cerebral hemisphere, may cause various sensations in the contralateral hemisphere, such as pain, hot and cold, touch, vibration, and shape discrimination. Unilateral deafness, if there is no history of otitis media, but only one side has hearing loss, it is likely to be caused by intracranial tumor compressing the auditory nerve. 9. Late onset epilepsy, if epilepsy starts to occur after adult, if there is no other cause, brain tumor should be considered first.
