Surgery for brain tumors is very diverse depending on the nature, location, and size of the brain tumor. Most brain tumors tend to be removed by craniotomy, like meningiomas, gliomas, etc. Intracerebral tumors, for example, can be removed neuroscopically by drilling a hole in the skull. For tumors that are not suitable for total resection, tumor biopsy can be performed under stereotactic surgery, and for cerebral hemangioma, craniotomy clamping or interventional embolization can be performed. For tumors in the saddle area, such as pituitary tumors, craniopharyngioma, and chordoma in the saddle area, a transnasal or transsphenoidal approach can be adopted to remove the tumors.
