How much normal heartbeat a minute

A heartbeat of 60-100 beats per minute is considered normal, but there are some differences depending on the individual’s physical condition, age, emotions, and exercise. In general, a normal sinus heartbeat is 60-100 beats/min. Children have a slightly faster heartbeat, for example, children usually have a heartbeat of 100-150 beats/min before the age of 3. Women also have a slightly faster heartbeat than men, while older people have a slightly slower heartbeat of about 55-78 beats/min. Athletes usually have a slower heartbeat of about 50 beats per minute due to prolonged exercise. In contrast, diseases with enhanced metabolism such as hyperthyroidism can make the patient’s heart beat faster. In addition, the heartbeat of a person can increase after emotional excitement and exercise, and can even exceed 100 beats/min, but it will return to normal after rest. Patients should not be too nervous and anxious in general, pay more attention to rest and do proper exercise. If you experience panic and discomfort, you should go to the cardiovascular medicine department of a tertiary care hospital in time.
