The internal and external all have nourishment, it is peaceful and self-contained and no depletion of the problem, so life can also be a hundred. –When we go to the hospital for a physical examination and find that there are no problems with the indicators, the doctor will send you home, thinking that you are fine. But you will feel uncomfortable yourself. This condition is not a healthy state in Chinese medicine, it is a sick state. Through the criteria of Western medicine, we can’t tell what is wrong with the body. But through the health criteria of TCM, we can know where the body is sick. The following are the health standards of the various surface signs of the human body defined from the perspective of Chinese medicine, you can compare with the health self-examination. 1, skin – full, lustrous skin, hair, body, is now the beauty industry is most concerned about the three aspects, but also the most intuitive external performance of the body can be seen. The performance of the skin in the words of Chinese medicine is to look at the diagnosis. When we say that a person has a good qi, we are talking about the luster, transparency and color of the skin. If the body is good, the skin will be full, the qi and blood will be sufficient, and it will look shiny. If the skin is not good, the face will look worse. Most women are concerned about their skin. Some people take care of their skin, but from a distance, their skin looks dirty, as if they haven’t washed it. Why is this? It is not that her skin is not clean, but the inner Qi and blood is not full. If the qi and blood are not full, one’s face will look dull, and from a distance it will look as if it has not been washed. The Chinese medicine called this face color is not Hua, that is, the skin is not good qi and blood. 2, hair – black, smooth Chinese medicine believes that there are two standards of hair health: the first is smooth. Soft represents the person’s qi and blood is more harmonious. The second is the color should be black. Black hair represents the person’s qi and blood is more adequate, the liver and kidneys to nourish. In line with these two points, it means that the person is relatively healthy. 3, body – in line with genetic and weight standards In fact, this is not a measure of a person’s health or not. The key to health depends on a person’s body shape and the overall proportion of the body, but also includes some genetic factors. So what is the best way to measure the body and weight standards? It is best measured by how an individual feels. Some people are physically fat, but their movements are very dexterous, so there is no problem with the health of such people. Some people are thin, but his movements are very clumsy, which is also unhealthy. Therefore, as long as the body feels light and healthy, and the movement is agile and unhindered, that is a healthy performance. We all live in our own senses, especially the senses of the body. That is why the concept of Chinese medicine for the human body is mostly determined by self-feeling, not simply by indicators. 4, teeth – lustrous, delicate Chinese medicine says “teeth for the rest of the bone”, that is, the human body’s kidney energy through the teeth to show. We all know that if the teeth are white, lustrous and hard, the surface is crystal and delicate, it means that the person’s kidney energy is sufficient, which is also a manifestation of longevity. If a person’s teeth are yellow and have problems early on, it means that the person’s kidney energy is insufficient, which means that the person has a poor energy and material base. In ancient times, people look at whether the child can live, can live long, there are two criteria, the first is to look at the hair; the second is to look at the teeth. This standard of judgment was more common in the Ming and Qing dynasties at the court. Because the royal family in the kingdom to pass on to future generations, the primary one of the criteria, is that the heir must be good health. 5, the eyes – flexible, with determination The eyes are the external expression of a person with or without spirit. The criterion for judging is whether a person’s eyes are determined, focused and flexible. The eyes of a person with a deficiency of kidney qi are scattered and wandering. The eyes of a person with a deficiency of liver qi tend to be astringent. Now there are many white-collar workers, especially in the IT industry, many of whom use their eyes excessively. The eyes are not good afterwards, the eyes are sluggish and dull, in fact, the gods are scattered. The liver is open to the eyes, too much use of the eyes to the liver to damage. As long as the eyes are excessive, sleep will not be too good, the body will be easy to tired, which is the gods out. 6, hearing – listen carefully to the sound of needles The kidneys are open to the ears, hearing is a very important criterion for judging the health of the good or bad. We all know that people will have two external manifestations of old age is particularly obvious, is blurred eyes and deafness. If a person is healthy, the eyes are focused and the ears can hear very small sounds. Poor hearing is a sign of kidney qi deficiency, and by replenishing kidney qi, we can enhance our hearing. With practice, one can reach the point where the tiny sound of a pin dropping to the floor in a large conference room can be heard. When practiced to this extent, the kidney qi becomes sufficient and the body is well. 7, breathing – deep and long, Dantian Qi We do one thing every day, and that is breathing. If a person does not breathe, life is over. Therefore, breathing is very important in our life process. When we sleep at night, all the organs stop their activities, but breathing and heartbeat do not stop. I don’t know if you have noticed, but there is a big difference between the breathing of children, middle-aged people and old people. When we observe the breathing of a baby, it is breathing from the Dantian, the small abdomen, as if he can go directly to the Dantian after inhaling from the nose. As a person grows older, after the age of 12, according to Taoism, Yang Qi begins to break. If the Yang energy is broken, the breathing line is shortened by one point. Moreover, as we grow older, the breathing line will become shorter and shorter. After people reach middle age, most of the breathing can only reach the chest, and it does not sink in the chest area. Especially for women, after 40 years old, most of the breath can only sink to the chest, which means that the Qi and blood is not fluid and insufficient. This is a hint that something is wrong with your body. In old age, breathing will get worse and worse, manifested in two ways: first, the sound of breathing is coarse and heavy; second, the depth of breathing is not enough. If there are these two points, it means that the body has begun to decline. In future chapters I will tell you how to make the breathing line longer through exercise. When the breathing line becomes longer, the person’s life expectancy will also become longer. The breathing of a dying person, on the other hand, is very short. When I used to work in a hospital, I sent away some dying patients. These patients were basically breathing through their throat until the last moment, and their breathing was very short. Such breathing indicates that his body’s vital energy has been insufficient, in the words of the people is “hanging on a breath”, at any time may stop breathing, very dangerous. 8, voice – all five tones, bright, broad We often hear a phrase in our daily life, called “five tones incomplete”, used to describe a person singing easily out of tune, not mastering the score. In fact, in ancient times, there was a constant standard for the voice. The “five tones” correspond to the “five organs”, and the “five organs” correspond to the “five elements”. The “five tones” are “Gong, Shang, Horn, Zheng, and Fe”, which correspond to “Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung, and Kidney”. A good doctor can listen to a person’s voice and probably know which of the five tones is not enough, and also know which of the corresponding internal organs is not enough qi. Some people’s voices are hoarse and dry the next day after staying up all night, because staying up all night hurts the kidneys. When people are angry, their voices will become thin. This is when the “Gong” sound is insufficient, and the Qi of the middle jiao is insufficient. There are many people, especially intellectuals, who do not have the energy to speak, and feel that they are speaking in their chests, and the Qi of the internal organs is not coming up. What does this mean? It also means that the vital energy of the middle jiao is not enough. Therefore, a listen to the voice, we can listen to a person’s physical condition. 9, tendons, lower extremities, feet – soft, warm, gas sinking Chung Quan We all know that “people old legs first old”, tendons, feet and lower extremities of these three are linked together. “People old legs first old”, “legs old” an important sign is what? The legs are hard and cold. When people are small, the tendons and bones are particularly soft, very resilient, flexible, fall to the ground is not easy to fracture. When people get older, the bones start to harden. This does not mean that the hardness of his bones has increased, but that his tendons are not soft anymore, so it is easy to fracture, and the fracture is not easy to heal. Another manifestation is that the legs are particularly stiff, the lower extremities, the soles of the feet begin to become cold, which are the symptoms of poor health manifested through the tendons and bones. By exercising the body, the tendons in the legs can become soft and the feet always stay warm, which achieves the Qi sinking into the spring. We look at the elderly in life, where from the age of 50 to 60 years old the soles of the feet began to get cold, most of the life expectancy is not long. Where the regular walking, legs and feet are very good, the bottom of the foot warm elderly people, usually live a long life. 10, mind – no distractions, cheerful, often smile Children before the age of 3, when the desire is not particularly heavy, the mind is cheerful. According to American medical statistics, children before the age of 3, an average of 170 times a day, he lives in a more cheerful atmosphere. Adults, on the other hand, only smile an average of 7 times a day, which is the international standard. Chinese people may laugh a little less. Because the Chinese are used to having a stern face, foreigners have the impression that the Chinese are more serious and solemn. Now that we know so, we should smile often to bring down the qi and blood. When a person smiles, the solar bladder meridian relaxes, and once it relaxes, the qi sinks down. Whenever a person strains his face, qi goes up. Therefore, people with stiff facial muscles are 40% more likely to have a stroke after old age than ordinary people. And cheerful people who always smile, it is easier to live a long life. Therefore, the first point of health care is to be in the right state of mind, everything back to nature and peace, the body can be good. Just like Mencius once said, “I am good at nurturing my haoran qi”, the haoran qi is full of up.
