Yellow urine does not indicate that jaundice is receding, but is a specific clinical manifestation of jaundice, accompanied by yellowing of the skin and yellowing of the eyes. The color shade of urine is related to the severity of jaundice. As jaundice decreases, the urine will also gradually decrease, and patients with severe jaundice may have thick tea-colored urine. To determine whether jaundice has subsided or not, in addition to clinical symptoms, the color of the stool, the bilirubin in liver function and the transaminase values should be taken into account for specific analysis. However, yellow urine alone does not indicate jaundice, but may be due to yellow urine caused by fire. Physiological jaundice sometimes occurs in newborns and will basically subside on its own about ten days after birth, but pathological jaundice requires symptomatic treatment.
