Is a cough with no other symptoms pneumonia?

Just coughing without fever and without other symptoms does not necessarily mean that it is pneumonia. There are many diseases that can cause coughing, such as upper respiratory tract infections and acute bronchitis. To determine if it is pneumonia, the following tests can be done: 1) blood tests for routine blood tests, C-reactive protein and other inflammatory indicators; 2) CT lung tests. If the routine blood tests indicate elevated white blood cells and elevated C-reactive protein, this indicates a combination of bacterial infection, and if the CT lung tests indicate imaging changes of pneumonia, the diagnosis of pneumonia can be confirmed by combining these two points. Once the diagnosis of pneumonia is confirmed, it should be actively treated with anti-infection, you can use penicillin, cephalosporins or quinolones to anti-infection, while the diet should be light, pay attention to rest, and drink more warm water.
