Do I need treatment for occasional sudden breathing chest pains?

Occasional sudden breathing chest pain without cough, sputum, haemoptysis or dyspnoea does not require treatment, but if there is persistent breathing chest pain, or if the pain is accompanied by dyspnoea, chest tightness and shortness of breath and other symptoms, then prompt hospital consultation is required.
In general, the occasional occurrence of respiratory chest pain in normal people is of no particular clinical significance and requires only observation and follow-up.
