A symptom of chest pain that occurs when a patient develops a respiratory disease such as pleurisy or pneumothorax, in which the afferent fibres of the posterior roots of the spinal cord, the sensory fibres of the thoracic organs and blood vessels, are stimulated by inflammatory factors and in turn, the onset of the symptom is often associated with the patient’s breathing.
