How to treat severe tetracycline teeth?

The patient was a 37-year-old male who required improvement in the appearance of the tooth color. Examination: severe tetracycline teeth with enamel defects and brown-black dentin in some teeth. The upper central incisor had been veneered with resin several years ago and was now also defective and discolored. Treatment: Veneers were chosen as the treatment option. Due to the patient’s strong request for no or little grinding, the thickness of the veneer was limited and could not completely cover the color of the discolored tooth tissue, so after full communication with the patient, treatment was started. The results are as follows, and the patient himself was satisfied at the follow-up visit 3 weeks later, claiming that his personality had become more cheerful and more confident in social activities. Review Summary: In this case, due to the patient’s strong insistence, it was not possible to abrade enough tooth tissue, and a more natural aesthetic result would have been obtained if sufficient space had been prepared.
