I. Control of superovulation.
1. Female party’s cooperation: after starting in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer for pregnancy, the female party should strictly comply with the physician’s requirements, use the correct medication and maintain a good psychological state. In vitro fertilization-embryo transfer for pregnancy is not restricted by seasons, but the whole process usually takes 1-2 months, so she should arrange her time well, release her worries and accept the treatment without worries.
2. Husband’s cooperation: After deciding to assist pregnancy by in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer, the male partner should avoid smoking and alcohol and pay attention to rest. Before the start of in vitro fertilization, semen should be taken once for examination. Because the quality of male semen is best during 5-7 days of abstinence, it is advisable to have a semen emission 5-7 days before the female partner’s egg retrieval (i.e. 5-7 days of the female partner’s medication).
II. Before egg retrieval.
1. Inject HCG intramuscularly 36 hours before the operation, strictly follow the doctor’s instructions and follow the dosage on time so as not to delay the treatment.
2. Pay attention to your diet in the morning of the operation day, it should be light and avoid greasy, you can eat cakes, bread, etc. Do not eat meat, fried, eggs, milk, soy milk and other indigestible foods to avoid discomfort.
3.Since the bladder filling affects the operation, you should drink as little or no water as possible before the operation, and empty the bladder before the operation.
4. Both husband and wife should arrive at the IVF operating room at 7:30 am on the day of surgery to prepare for the operation.
5.Pay attention to emotional regulation, avoid mental tension and pay attention to rest before surgery, and pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene for both couples the night before surgery.
6. If you experience any abdominal pain or other discomfort, please contact your physician immediately.
III. After egg retrieval
1. After egg retrieval, you should take rest, avoid strenuous activities and eat properly.
2. On the day of egg retrieval, the male partner should take the sperm and confirm that there are no abnormalities before the couple leaves the hospital.
3. On the first day after egg retrieval, the couple should arrive at the laboratory at around 9:00 am to confirm the fertilization status.
4. On the second day after egg retrieval, if there are no special circumstances, the couple can rest at home, but if the female partner has any abdominal pain or other discomfort, she can contact the doctor in charge in time to deal with it.
5. On the third day after egg retrieval, both spouses should arrive at the laboratory at around 9:00 am to prepare for the embryo transfer. The woman should hold her urine before the transfer.
Post-transfer.
1. Lie down for 30-60 minutes after the transfer and go home to rest, avoid heavy physical activities and prohibit sexual intercourse. It is not necessary to be completely bedridden, otherwise it will aggravate the mental concern, but will cause mental tension, which may stimulate the uterus to contract, which is not conducive to embryo implantation and affect the result of pregnancy assistance.
2. Pay attention to a light and nutritious diet and avoid diarrhea.
3. Use luteal support drugs as prescribed by the doctor.
4.A very small number of infertile patients may experience abdominal distension, decreased urination and loss of appetite about one week after the transplantation, please contact the doctor in charge in time.
5.Take morning urine test 14-16 days after transplantation and inform us of the test results so that we can deal with them accordingly.
6.Please come to our center for ultrasound test around 50 days after pregnancy (5 weeks after transplantation) in order to know whether intrauterine pregnancy or multiple pregnancy.
7.After 3 months of pregnancy, establish a pregnancy test file in your local area and inform our center of the ultrasound observation results.
8.After delivery, please inform our center about the birth of your newborn (sex, weight, length, and Arrhenius score).
