The former is called “primary infertility” and the latter is called “secondary infertility”. In ancient times, the former is called “total failure to produce” and the latter is called “broken pregnancy”. Western medicine believes that female infertility is mainly related to ovulatory dysfunction, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic tumor and reproductive organ malformation. [Etiology and Pathogenesis] In men and women, when the kidney qi is strong, the heavenly sebum arrives, and the rushing of the sperm is complete, the woman’s menstrual cycle is followed by the men’s sperm overflowing and diarrhea, and the two sexes are united, the pregnancy can be conceived, which can be seen that infertility is mainly related to the deficiency of kidney qi and the imbalance of the rushing of the qi and blood. There are common clinical types such as kidney deficiency, liver depression, phlegm-dampness and blood stasis. Kidney deficiency, or indiscipline in intercourse, damage the kidney qi, deficiency of the ramus, loss of warmth of the cellular vasculature, and inability to take in sperm to become pregnant; or injury to the true yang in the kidney, failure of the vital gate fire, inability to transform the qi into water, cold and dampness stagnating in the ramus, dampness congestion of the cellular vasculature, inability to take in sperm to become pregnant; or indiscipline in intercourse, depletion of sperm and blood, loss of kidney yin, resulting in less blood in the ramus, inability to take in sperm to become pregnant; or indiscipline in intercourse, depletion of sperm and blood, loss of kidney yin. Inadequate Yin and Blood, Yin deficiency and internal heat, Heat disturbing the Blood, resulting in the inability to congeal sperm into pregnancy. Blood stasis When the residual blood is not cleansed during menstruation or after childbirth, when the blood is involved in water and cold, or when intercourse is not forbidden, the evil and the blood are knotted together and stasis blocks the vasculature, resulting in the inability to take in sperm and become pregnant. [The identification of infertility is mainly based on the changes in menstruation and the severity of the disease, followed by a comprehensive analysis of the systemic symptoms and tongue and pulse to clarify the internal organs, qi and blood, cold and heat, deficiency and actuality to guide treatment. The focus of treatment is to warm the kidney energy, regulate the qi and blood, so that menstruation and disease can be removed, then the fetus and pregnancy can be achieved. In addition, it is also necessary to have a relaxed mood, moderate sexual intercourse, and to choose the symmetrical group of the symptoms and combine the yin and yang to facilitate the conception.
