How soon can you move normally after clavicle fracture surgery

If a clavicle fracture is treated surgically, it is usually possible to move normally about 4 weeks after surgery. After surgery, the fracture end is relatively stable, so you can perform functional exercises for shoulder flexion and extension and abduction rehabilitation in 3-5 days after surgery. The majority of patients will feel less pain around 2 weeks after surgery and can move as normal as long as they do not lift heavy objects on the affected shoulder. Most patients can resume normal activities in about 4 weeks after surgery. After surgery, patients with clavicle fractures should be able to carry out activities and functional exercises as soon as possible, and how long it takes for them to resume normal activities should be determined by their own recovery.
