Can Tumor Protein Test Detect Stomach Cancer

Tumor protein test refers to the detection of tumor markers, which can be used to check gastric cancer, but cannot be taken as the diagnostic standard, and needs to be combined with imaging examination, gastroscopy and pathological examination to make a comprehensive judgment. Tumor marker test has a suggestive role in the diagnosis of tumors, and there are three commonly used tumor markers for gastric cancer in clinic, namely, CA199, CA724 and CEA, among which CA724 is the main diagnostic index; the appearance of corresponding abnormal indexes is relatively specific for gastric cancer, and it needs to be further examined after discovery. After the rise of tumor markers, gastric cancer cannot be diagnosed directly, but needs to be combined with medical history, imaging, gastroscopy, pathological examination and other comprehensive judgments, among which pathological diagnosis is the gold standard. If gastric cancer is suspected, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, improve the examination under the doctor’s guidance, make a clear diagnosis and take active treatment.
