How much do you know about crooked nose correction?

Crooked nose deformity can be caused by various reasons such as congenital, traumatic, tumor, and infection. The crooked nose can be completely deviated to one side, or it can be S-shaped, or lateral V-shaped. The external nose is composed of a supporting structure of nasal bones, maxillary nasal prominence, frontal nasal prominence, septal cartilage, lateral nasal cartilage, and nasal wing cartilage. If the supporting structure collapses due to trauma and is not reset in time within 1-2 weeks, it will leave an old crooked nose deformity. In this case, another surgery is often required to correct the deformity. Smaller deformities can be operated on an outpatient basis, while severe ones require hospitalization. The procedure usually takes 1-2 hours and is followed by a protective device for 1-2 weeks after surgery.
