What is meant by fossa closure

It is essential to take your child to the hospital for regular dental checkups. Generally, children should start checking the health of their sockets when they are about three years old to see if they should have them closed. The uneven depressions in the teeth are called sulci, and each tooth has a different shape and depth of sulcus, which is a suitable place for bacteria to grow and multiply. What is a gully sealant? Why is it important for children to have their teeth sealed? Figuratively speaking, it is like applying a layer of paint to prevent iron products from rusting in everyday life. The doctor implants liquid resin into the patient’s sulcus and then cures and hardens it to form a protective barrier, which covers the sulcus and prevents cavity-causing bacteria from entering, thus becoming a “protective shield” for the tooth and making it less susceptible to insects. The four best times to close the sulcus are: 3-4 years for milk molars, 6-7 years for the first permanent (sixth age) molars, 11-13 years for the second permanent molars, and 9-13 years for the bicuspids.
