Do you know what a hypertensive personality is?

  Patients with hypertension often share a common personality trait, namely Type A personality, hence the term “hypertensive personality”. According to the standards of medical psychology, personality can be divided into Type A personality and Type B personality”. Many successful people are type A personalities, especially entrepreneurs, so type A is also called “entrepreneurial personality”.  Type A personalities are “competitive, easily excited, impatient, conceited, poor in restraint, aggressive, and often feel a great deal of psychological pressure because they do not have enough time”. This kind of personality, so that they are constantly under a high level of stress, often in a state of emotional change stress. Stress, as well as emotional excitement, or anger, or agitation, will cause excitation of the sympathetic nervous system, leading to the secretion of blood pressure hormone, so that most of their body blood vessels in a “tight” state, over time, it is easy to cause hypertension.  The “psychological treatment” of hypertension includes: correction of type A personality behavior, relaxation therapy, supportive psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, antidepressant and anxiolytic drugs, etc. In clinical practice, doctors often use the “psychological treatment” of hypertension.  In clinical practice, doctors often use two phrases to advise patients with hypertension: the first phrase: “The only person who can really change you is you”. When you face a difficult situation that you cannot do anything about, such as an injustice, a career or life that is not as good as you want it to be, an accident or even a disaster, you must learn to take control, accept reality and come out of the bad state of mind early. The second phrase: “Work less, rest more”. This is a warning to patients, “stay in the green hills, not afraid of no firewood”. For this reason, daily work and life should be reasonably arranged, so that there is tension and relaxation and avoid excessive mental stress!
