How many stages of cancer are there?

Tumor staging is clinically common TNM staging system, which can be divided into stage I, II, III and IV. The cancer staging system is complex, and the current clinical adoption of cancer staging is based on the tumor staging standards published by the World Health Organization. According to the comprehensive evaluation of tumor size, infiltration degree, lymph node metastasis and other factors, i.e. TNM staging system, cancer can be divided into early, middle, middle and late stages, corresponding to stage I, II, III and IV. Some tumors can even be subdivided into stage IA and stage IB, or even stage IC. The later the staging, the worse the prognosis. In early stage cancer patients, the tumor is non-metastatic and non-infiltrative, so surgical resection is usually the preferred treatment. In middle and late stage, tumor may show local metastasis and near metastasis, and need to consider receiving radiotherapy, chemotherapy and even targeted drug treatment. Tumors emphasize early detection and early treatment. It is recommended to undergo regular medical checkups according to the recommendations of relevant doctors in order to detect abnormalities and deal with them in time to avoid adverse consequences.
