How do I administer medication after a vaginal tube douche for early childhood vulvovaginitis?

The treatment of vulvovaginitis in young children is limited due to their particular age. For recurrent infections that are not cured for a long time, local administration of drugs can be done after placement of a tube for irrigation. The diameter of the hymenal ring hole in childhood is 0.4~0.7 cm, and insertion of a 14-gauge soft rubber/silicone catheter (ф4.7 mm) is not likely to damage the hymenal ring or vaginal tissue. Usually the catheter is administered once or twice a day for an average of 3-7 days; in severe cases, the duration of administration is extended appropriately.
