What is heartburn?

If the patient currently has symptoms of heartburn, the first thing to consider is whether the patient has bile reflux gastritis. In addition to this, the patient may be experiencing anterior heart discomfort triggered by angina pectoris. If the patient has heartburn along with acid reflux and pressure pain in the stomach area, it is highly considered to be triggered by stomach disorders. For example, biliary reflux gastritis, gastric ulcer, and duodenal ulcer may present with similar abnormal manifestations. It is recommended that the patient undergo further chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, and cardiac ultrasound to help clarify the presence of current cardiovascular disease or gastric disease. If necessary, further coronary CT as well as gastroscopy can also be performed to help clarify the diagnosis and guide the medication treatment plan.
